Black Magic Rub

I like adding this to hamburgers, and the such, but mostly use it as a component in my BBQ rub. I didn’t create it, just did a bit of reducing math.

Instructions
  1. Blend/mix up and store, maybe in a shaker. Makes about 3/4 cup. See below for different yields.

Makes about 3/4 cup.

For yield of 3 cups:

  • 8 Tbsp onion powder
  • 8 Tbsp garlic powder
  • 4 Tbsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 Tbsp white pepper
  • 2 Tbsp black pepper
  • 4 Tbsp thyme, dried
  • 4 Tbsp oregano, dried
  • 8 Tbsp salt
  • 4 Tbsp paprika
  • 4 Tbsp cumin, ground

For yield of 12 cups:

  • 2 cups onion powder
  • 2 cups garlic powder
  • 1 cup cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 cup white pepper
  • 1/2 cup black pepper
  • 1 cup thyme, dried
  • 1 cup oregano, dried
  • 2 cups salt
  • 1 cup paprika
  • 1 cup cumin, ground
